Better Nubrella

CREATIVE DIRECTION
Inspired by documentary photography and realism, the series captures subjects in candid, unposed moments to explore vulnerability and truth in fashion.
LIGHTING TECHNIQUES USED
Available light and handheld flash were used to preserve the raw essence of each scene, highlighting textures and natural tones.
STYLING PHILOSOPHY
Unrefined looks with distressed fabrics, bare faces, and layered vintage pieces to embrace an undone, honest aesthetic.

3D printing made the process of iterating fast and hands-on, allowing different forms, proportions, and mechanisms to be tested and refined quickly through physical prototypes. Instead of designing everything digitally and manufacturing only at the end, the project evolved through continuous printing, assembling, adjusting, and reprinting.

Developed through rapid prototyping and iterative 3D printing, the project focused on creating a form that feels approachable, customizable, and easy to assemble while maintaining a strong architectural presence. Rather than positioning fabrication as an industrial process, FORM/01 explores the idea of making as part of everyday domestic culture — where products exist not only as physical objects, but also as downloadable systems that can be produced, modified, and shared locally.
